About this journal
What Shore Entry is, who keeps it, how an entry is put together.

Shore Entry is an independent diving journal. It is written for the diver who plans a trip around a shore, a dock or a small boat, and for the reader who wants to know what lives on a reef before getting into the water.
This desk is not a dive shop.
What an entry contains
Each entry takes one question about diving from land and answers it in the opening paragraphs, before any background. What follows is written so that a reader can jump to the part they need: the measurement, the procedure, what is normal, and what is worth stopping for.
The sources are named at the end of the entry. They are agency standards and student manuals, diving medicine literature, marine park and fisheries publications, field guides, and published forecasts for wind, swell and tide. Where a source does not settle a question, the entry says so instead of guessing.
A note on the domain
This journal was published in 2026 on a domain that once carried the site of Bonaire Dive & Adventure, a dive operation on Bonaire whose pages ran from 1998 to 2017, followed by an unrelated content farm in 2024 and 2025. The archive is cited here because it is a matter of public record, not because anything from it has been reused.
